Registry Problems

What is the Windows Registry?

The Windows Regsitry can be considered as similar to a massive database that holds information on every file, process, directory and program on your computer. Every time you add software and files to your PC, the registry is updated to note these changes. Over a period of time however, the registry becomes more massive and less efficient, which in turn leads to your computer slowing considerably. Common symptoms of a top-heavy registry are a sluggish response, frequent system crashes and hosts of error messages!

Can problems be cured?:

Clearing out invalid entries in the registry is can be an absolute nightmare for even the most experienced programmer. Incorrectly modifying or deleting registry entries can result in the loss of data or personal information, and you may end up with a computer that doesn’t work at all!

What’s the Solution?:

To cope with this a number of ‘cleaners’ have been developed to strip out invalid entries and tidy up the registry, getting your PC back to somewhere close to it’s original high speed performance. There are several software solutions to clearing out the registry, all of which should:

  • Be easy to use with intuitive interfaces and good instructions, for both novice and expert alike.
  • Allow you to quickly undo any changes that cause problems during the cleaning process.
  • Automatically detect and correct the most common registry problems.
  • Have excellent customer support facilities.
